Prayer 5-1-2015

Dear Father, thank you for your faithfulness in our lives. Today, we choose to trust you with our past, present and future. Give us wisdom to discern the seasons of our lives and teach us to embrace the new things you have in store for us.

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

Luke 5:37 NIV

No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.

You may have had some unfair things happen, things that you don’t understand. But let me tell you, you have come too far to stop now. Instead of allowing those things to hold you back, why don’t you let go and take a step of faith into the new? It’s time to get a new, bigger vision; it’s time to get a new, fresher outlook; it’s time to rise up with a new attitude! Instead of settling where you are, pick up and move forward. Have the attitude that says, “I may not understand it; it may not have been fair, but I am not getting stuck on this page. I know God has a new chapter for me, a chapter filled with blessings, favor and victory!”

Everyone needs love

Everyone needs to be loved, especially those do not deserve it.

Tomorrow might be different

At times you’re sad about what’s going on with your life, just remember one permanent fact, everything changes, tomorrow might be different.

Imperfections

We are all perfectly imperfect! But it’s our imperfections that make us individuals.

Prayer 4-30-2015

Dear Father, set us free from sin, sickness, and stress. Use us to advance the gospel and bring spiritual freedom to people throughout the world.

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

John 8:31-32 NIV

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Peoples throughout the world crave the kind of political freedom that Bolívar inspired in Latin America. But the Bible reminds us that this freedom has limits. True freedom only comes when we surrender our lives to Jesus. He said “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” This freedom comes when we continue in his word and become his “true disciples.” We need a relationship with him, and must follow and serve him unconditionally.  Are you truly free? Or are you a slave to habits? Possessions? Worries? Fears? Sin? Come to Jesus, right now. Dedicate yourself to his kingdom. Surrender your time, talent, and treasure to him. He will give you true freedom.
