As Christians, we live every day of the year in the joy of Christ’s resurrection, but today we join hands with our brothers and sisters around the world to celebrate the living hope that is Jesus Christ.
It is our hope and prayer that you have experienced the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that you live each day in the assurance that he has wiped away your sin.
If you haven’t read the story behind Easter recently, here are the four places in the Bible that recount Christ’s arrest, trial, execution, and resurrection:
- Matthew 26:14 – 28:20
- Mark 14:12 – 16:20
- Luke 22-24
- John 18-20
At the beginning of Lent, we talked about the value of committing to daily Scripture reading. Maybe you’ve been reading the Bible each day throughout Lent. Maybe you meant to, but weren’t able to keep up with your reading. Regardless, we hope you’ve gotten a taste of the joy of regular time spent in God’s Word, and that you’ve begun a habit of Bible reading that will continue beyond the Easter season.
God bless you today, and every day, as we live in the light of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Hallelujah–he is risen!
